Black Swan
At the very start it shows the companies involved in the production of this film as well as allowing a little melody to be heard. The title is then seen, its significant as the background is black and the title is in white letters. When the actual films begins it shows Nathalie Portman as a ballet dancer she is dancing on her own when another character enters and they begin to dance together. The tempo get faster as the two begin to work well when she wakes up and reveals it was only a dream. All of the suspense is built up in an attempt to draw the viewer in. The opening minutes of this film does it very well as the non diagetic sounds make it sound very appealing as well as scary. Even the name of the film is intriguing as black swans are associated with mystery. This film has a very effective beginning which works as the fabrics for the rest of the film.
